We’re excited to have the fabulous Hoochie Coochie Club is back to Spanky’s with an exciting calendar of 2012 events.
To kick 2012 off with style, they’ve beemed a message into outta space and secured a booking with one of the craziest 4-piece rockabilly acts in the galaxy: The Space Cadets featuring: Mouse Zinn (Lead Vocals/Guitar) ex-Red Hot & Blue, Ricky Lee Brawn (Drums) from the Big 6 & the Stargazers, and both Mark Harman & Paul Harman (Lead Guitar & Double-Bass – respectively) who it goes without saying are 2 of the most respected rockabilly artists of all-time, they are of course of Restless fame, all unite on the same stage, together the four piece supergroup create a sound that’s outta this world! An Evening of Local Music – February 4th
A night filled with music from bands from in and around Nottingham. There will be a mixture of lovely acoustic sounds, folk vibes and a rock set to finish the night. Playing live on the night is Gallery 47, Alexa Hawksworth, Elena and Steph Hargreaves, Opie Deino, the lovely folk sound of Heathens and a rock set from Spitfish. All the ticket proceeds go to Cancer Research UK.

After the awesomeness of Percrydread last month, The Reggae Take Over are back. Tonight they’re proud to present MC Brother Culture live and direct in Nottingham. Brother Culture has recorded tunes for The Prodigy, Mungo’s Hifi, Roots Garden and Reggae Roast to name just a few. He cut his teeth on Jah Revelation Muzik before going global with his insightful, innovative and often playful lyrics. A true performer with heaps of energy and an infectious positivity on stage.
